Join us for a 63 mile ride through some back roads to The Shabbona Cafe, where they serve cheap but hearty breakfasts and play KLOVE radio while you eat. Afterwards, we will continue on some more backroads for another 50 miles where we will stop for gas.
From there it's decision time! You can take the long way home 100 miles (about 2.5 hours) through Starved Rock and Silver Spring State Park OR take the shorter, more direct way home 64 miles (about 1.5 hours).
All in all, it's Not Too Shabby of a ride for May.
Here are the two ride options:
Long Loop: 213 miles (about 6.5 hours total, 5.5 hours of riding plus an hour for breakfast)
Short Loop: 177 miles (about 5.5 hours total, 4.5 hours of riding plus an hour for breakfast)
We will start staging at 7:45 AM in the parking lot in front of the Burlington Coat Factory that's located on the west side of Route 59 between Higgins and I-90. Kick Stands Up will be at 8:30 AM sharp!
