Join us for a scenic ride up to The Tropics Restaurant in Winthrop Harbor.
We will be staging at our new staging area in Hoffman Estates (parking lot in front of the Burlington Coat Factory) and will travel east to Lake Michigan where we’ll snake our way north along the Lake. There will be a brief stop in Lake Forest for a quick leg stretch and bio break. After that, we’ll continuing north to Winthrop Harbor for lunch. The ride will be a little over 100 miles with a gas stop shortly after lunch.
IMPORTANT: The Tropics Restaurant does not do individual pay for groups, so if possible PLEASE bring cash for lunch. Please keep track of what you order so we can pay accordingly.
Please arrive the staging area by 8:30 AM with a full tank of gas. Kick stands up at 9:00 AM. We should arrive The Tropics around 11:30 or 12-ish for a scenic lunch along the Lake. The ride home will be a little more direct with no planned stops after gas.
